Brock Monger, DPT

Brock Monger is co-owner of Apex Physical Therapy, and holds the role of lead physical therapist.  Brock holds dual licenses as a physical therapist (PT) and athletic trainer (ATC) in the state of Oregon, and holds a national certification as a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Brock has a Bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science from the University of Utah ('98), and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Creighton University, graduating Cum Laude.  At Creighton, Brock co-authored a research article titled, "Temporospatial and kinematic gait alterations during treadmill walking with body weight suspension" (the impact of body weight support on gait), which was published in the journal, Gait and Posture, June 2003.

Brock and Karin opened Apex Physical Therapy in 2007.  Prior to Apex, Brock had practiced in outpatient physical therapy for 6 years with an emphasis on orthopedics, sports medicine, and manual therapy.

During the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, UT, Brock worked as a volunteer athletic trainer for the mens and womens hockey venue.  Brock was also a volunteer athletic trainer for the 2002 Paralympics, and has worked as a memeber of the sports medicine group for the Utah Grizzlies professional hockey team ('01-'06) and the Utah Blitz professional soccer team ('02-'03).

In his free time, Brock enjoys camping with his wife, Karin and two daughters, as well as alpine skiing, mountain biking, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, and fishing.  In addition, Brock has a growing interest in sprint triathalons and distance running events.
