Karin Monger, DPT

Karin Monger - Physical TherapistCo-owner of Apex Physical Therapy with her husband, Brock, Karin Monger, DPT, is a specialist in manual therapy as well as such specialty areas as craniosacral physical therapy, prenatal fitness, sacro-iliac joint dysfunction and aquatic therapy. With certifications as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), a personal fitness trainer and a Pilates instructor, Karin is able to offer Apex clients a wide range of specialized services related to pain reduction, increased mobility, and overall performance and lifestyle enhancement.

After completing her undergraduate studies at University of Kansas in 1998, Karin went on to graduate Cum Laude with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Creighton University in 2001. A person with a continual drive toward furthering her education for the betterment of her clients, Karin also received specialized training in the area of manual therapy through the North American Institute for Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT).

With a passion for fitness both for herself and her clients, Karin is an expert-level fitness instructor and, through a number of certification courses, is on the fast-track to become an expert in Pilates. Besides teaching fitness classes, she also enjoys long-distance running, having completed five marathons – two in Portland and one each in Seattle, Salt Lake and Central Oregon. She and Brock have also regularly competes on a local Cascade Lakes Relay team.

Karin enjoys spending her free time with her family, exploring the nooks and crannies of the beautiful Central Oregon region on foot, in a kayak and on the saddle of a bike. She and Brock have three daughters.
