Saundra Allard, PTA

Saundra Allard, PTABefore joining the Apex team in 2010, Saundra received her associate’s degree to become a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) from Mt. Hood Community College (Gresham, OR). Prior to that, she developed a vast experience portfolio within inpatient, outpatient and home health settings, and she also worked in skilled rehabilitation facilities throughout Central Oregon.

As a physical therapy assistant, Saundra works as part of the team to provide physical therapy services under the direction of our three full-time physical therapists.

“As a physical therapy assistant, I carry out the therapists’ plans of care using manual therapy and exercise,” Saundra said. “I also assist in the development of individualized home exercise programs for our clients.”

Saundra moved to Oregon from North Carolina in 1994. She says the community-focused, goal-oriented, and team-driven mission of Apex Physical Therapy is part of what keeps her energized day in and day out.

“It’s important to have a career helping people in a positive environment,” she said. “Apex is a great place to work as it’s a team environment, and as a team, we strive to make our patient’s goals our own. It’s important to us that our patients leave here able to do the things in life that are most important to them.”

When not assisting patients at Apex, Saundra enjoys hiking, kayaking, gardening, and spending family time with her husband and two children.
